Social Responsibility: We Make a Difference!

MakeMyTrip is committed towards its role as a socially responsible corporate entity and this attitude has been led top-down. The CEO and Founder, Deep Kalra, walks the talk by being extremely conscious of his responsibility towards the society as a citizen which reflects in "I am Gurgaon", an NGO, founded by him.

Udayan Care is one such organization that MakeMyTrip has patronized over the years. Udayan Care runs homes for orphaned, abandoned and abused children. We have a corporate mentoring program with them where children from Udayan Care visit us every month and have mentors who guide them.

We also have an association with Give India - a donation platform that allows you to support a cause of your choice from about 200 NGOs that have been scrutinized for transparency & credibility. MMT was awarded one of the top 3 corporates with the highest contribution in the 'Joy of Giving Week'.

Employees from MMT run the Delhi Half marathon held every year.

MakeMyTrip has also been involved with other NGOs like CRY wherein the company has run several successful programs from time to time. There has been active participation from the MMT team to generate awareness around various environmental issues. MakeMyTrip had launched a green initiative - Carbon Footprint under which air passengers booking tickets on the website will receive an estimation of their carbon footprint for the journey and an opportunity to offset it by contributing towards afforestation programmes run under the aegis of GiveIndia by Seva Mandir in Rajasthan. This initiative has received an enthusiastic response from air travellers. Till date, the programme has resulted in collection of over Rs 15 lakhs, through 25161 donors which has been used entirely for planting trees.
